Supplements
The most frequent questions I get from patients asking for help in managing their migraine headaches, is “what should I be supplementing with? “
we have all read about all the supplements and formulations advertised for migraine:
The three top options with fewest side effects, thus making them attractive alternatives to patients are here-under.
Magnesium up to 600mg daily:
The most supported are Migraine Citrate and Migraine BisglycinateRiboflavin up to 400 mg once daily or divided twice daily
Co-Enzyme Q10 up to 100 mg three times daily
However, based on expert opinion, these three may have lower efficacy than other drug choices and accordingly they can not be considered first-line in most cases.
